Crowns and Bridges

A crown, also commonly known as a cap, is an artificial covering that fits seamlessly over the existing natural tooth. Crowns are used to repair badly decayed, root filled, broken or severely discoloured teeth. Crowns are also used to protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that’s already been broken. They are also used for a bridge to replace missing teeth, where a crown is made for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false crown is made to fill in the gap. The 3 crowns are then joined together to form a bridge. Crowns are made from a special porcelain material. Crowns will give you back the strength and look of the original tooth.
